Baking biscuits

Year 4 have recently baked biscuits as one of their DT projects.
They investigated different biscuit types and designed their own shortbread cookies.
They all had turns at weighing ingredients, beating, sieving and mixing before rolling out and cutting.
It was great fun but the best bit was the eating of the cookies. This was definitely a success!

Visit to Wrexham Museum

Year 6 visited the Wrexham Museum to learn about the Victorians. They experienced what it was like for Victorian children to go to school and participated in an actual Victorian lesson! They then completed carousel activities involving artefacts and written sources before acting out the story of Ann Williams. An enjoyable and educational time was had by all.

On Friday 12th October, author Chris D'Lacey visited Barker's Lane to talk to upper KS2 pupils.
